A large and beautifully painted satsuma vase by Kizan . The quality of the decoration is exquisite , the top section depicting an artist painting a screen in an interior , watched by court ladies . The lower section painted and enamelled with a variety of flowers .

The condition is excellent , no damage or restoration and no rubbing to the gilt . A spectacular piece of late Meiji satsuma .
