A rare teak & iron chest probably made in India for the British Army in the mid 19th century. Decorative piece with iron end lifts & on wooden wheels for ease of transport. This box is reputed to have been used as an Indian ladies dowry chest during its life. Generally in good order with the suitable marks & knocks for a piece with history.
