Japanese Globular Bronze Swimming Carp Vase By Nogawa

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this nice quality bronze vase by the highly regarded Nogawa company of Kyoto , the small globular vase is very simply decorated in light relief with a pair of Carp amongst rippled water , the fishes eyes are nicely picked out in gold and shakudo , the main body of the vase is patinated in a reddish mottled bronze but with a mixed variety of shaded areas as you turn it in different lights , the underside is stamped with the factory seal and bears traces of an old retailers label .
The condition is untouched and original with expected age related wear .
