As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual style Japanese bronze and mixed metal vase from the late Meiji period , this complex vase is formed in a most unusual manner with an almost butterfly winged shaped body , the bronze body is finely hammered and onlaid with a bird amongst flora in various other alloys including gold and silver , the flared foot and neck are further detailed in a geometric pattern once again onlaid in gold and silver alloys, this finely detailed vase would have taken an age to produce by a highly skilled metalworker , yet remarkably remains unsigned , a truly facinating mixed metal vase !!
