As part of our orienatal collection we are delighted to offer this fine pair of Japanese satsuma vases by the highly regarded artist Meizan , the conical shaped vases are sat in their original bespoke hardwood stands for safe display , they are decorated in a multitude of individual panels that are divided with gilded borders and cartouches , the three lower panels depict a floral scene , boys at play and a wintry landscape , the central bands are continuous mountain and lakeside settings while the top panels depict numerous characters in various pursuits , the decoration is jewel like and as fresh and sharp as you could imagine , for the size of the vases the detailing is exquisite !!
