Large Japanese Bronze Onlaid Flying Crane Vase

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this large and impressive Japanese bronze vase that would also adequately double up as a floor standing stick stand , the large tapered vase is nicely inlaid with silver cranes flying towards the rising moon , the base of the vase is further decorated with low relief waves enhanced by silver surf detailing , the shoulder of the vase is decorated with a different coloured bronze band highlighted with silver inlay detail , a great decorative item that would suit floor or display stand use due to its imposing dimensions.

The condition of the vase itself is great with just some denting to the underside of the base from general age related use.

Weight is a hefty 11.4kg 11,400 gms
