As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual shape and fine quality Japanese satsuma vase made by the renowned Kinkozan factory in the late 19th century (Meiji Period)the blue ground vase is decorated in stunning gilt detail around a pair of opposing high quality oval painted panels ,the panels depicting tranquil scenes with geisha and children studying and playing , the detail is fabulous !!

The vase is signed Kinkozan in a gilt tablet to the underside , the condition is simply stunning with no repairs or restorations and with the gilding virtuouly as crisp as the day it was painted , for total accuracy we have noticed a tiny gilt flake to the lip (see last photo)this really is a top quality vase to grace any serious satsuma collection !!
