Nice Quality Unusual Shaped Japanese Satsuma Vase

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer for sale this nice quality Japanese satsuma vase , the vase has a pair of nicely decorated opposing panels that are surrounded by a traditional deep blue gilded ground , the vase has a most unusual shape giving rise to a deep shouldered top section that is finely detailed with mythical birds flying amidst a gilt , aqua and red enamelled ground , signed in a gilt seal to the underside.

The condition of the vase is perfect with only minimal gilt rubbing around the top section , a real gem for the serious satsuma collector !
