Exhibit Antiques has dated this Colour Twist Cordial Glass to the Georgian era.
This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.
A very rare 18th-century blue colour twist cordial glass dating to circa 1765. It features a round funnel bowl with flute moulding to the lower section.

Historical Context

The blue strand has been formed by rolling the cobalt into the white, allowing only a narrow sliver to emerge at the surface. This results in an entirely unique pattern, as most other colour twists display either separate or fully fused canes. A subtle yet fascinating feature in what is almost certainly a unique glass.
