Antique Small 20th Century Oak Blanket Box | Dome Top Lid

Antique 20th century dome top blanket box in solid oak, a charming and characterful piece of rustic plank construction, showcasing honest craftsmanship and a lovely country look.

The domed lid is built from shaped oak boards and lifts on brass hinges to reveal a clean, generous storage well, with a turned knob to the front for lifting. Each end has a dark metal bail handle on a shaped backplate, making it easy to move.

The box is pinned together from solid oak planks, with arched end panels to the lid, and sits flat on its base, so it works equally well on the floor or on a sideboard or shelf.

The oak has a lovely light, honeyed colour with a distinctive textured, characterful surface and attractive grain and figuring throughout.

Presented in good condition with some minor signs of age and use consistent with its age. A very desirable piece of compact proportions, perfect as a storage chest for blankets, toys or keepsakes, or as a decorative trunk in a bedroom, hallway or living room.

• Delivery is available throughout the UK mainland, including most areas of Scotland.

• Each piece is carefully wrapped and protected prior to dispatch and delivered by our trusted private courier using a two-person team.

• Your piece will be delivered to the room of your choice, provided there is suitable access. For items supplied in sections, assembly is not included as part of the delivery service.

• Our standard delivery timeframe is approximately 3–15 working days from receipt of payment. The courier will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date and provide an approximate arrival time.

• If you have any particular delivery requirements, please let us know before purchasing and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Collection is available free of charge from our stockroom at WR6 5JE, by appointment only. Please contact us in advance to arrange a convenient collection date and time.
