We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

An Edwardian desk accessory in the gentleman's library style, comprising a sterling silver and cut glass inkwell combined with a stamp box. The piece combines a heavy square clear glass base with polished silver mounts, housing a hinged lid, an integrated sliding stamp compartment, and protruding side pen rest hooks. Hallmarks are visible on the metal surfaces. H 6.3 cm W 5 cm D 5.5 cm. Appropriate for placement on an office desk or writing table as a functional writing accessory. The container is designed to hold ink and postage stamps while supporting writing implements on the integrated side hooks.

A combination silver inkwell and stamp box is a specialized desktop item created during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, combining an ink reservoir with a hinged compartment designed to store postage stamps.

These items traditionally feature a thick molded or cut clear glass base paired with hallmarked sterling silver or silver-plated lids, hinges, and pen support hooks.

Authentic pieces feature struck British hallmarks indicating the maker, silver purity standard, assay office, and date letter stamped on the silver mounts.

Position the piece on an office desk, a gentlemans library side table, or a study console to serve as a decorative paperweight or historical accent.

Polishing the silver sections gently with a dedicated silver cloth prevents tarnish, while the glass base should be wiped with a damp cloth, avoiding hot water immersion.
