Antique Edwardian Silver String Or Twine Box

A very fine example of a solid sterling silver string box/dispenser, dating from the early years of the Edwardian era.
 
Richly decorated with repoussee foliage in the Victorian style, with a pull off lid and a weighted base. The decoration conceals the hallmark for Chester 1902 and the maker''s mark for James Deakin & Sons. There is also a partial hallmark on the lid. The silver is in fine condition.
