This George V solid silver circular box dates from the 1920s and functions as a small trinket container for a bedside table. The piece measures 3 cm high, 5.5 cm wide, and 5.5 cm deep, holding a compact cylindrical profile with smooth metal sides and a push-fit lid. The lid has a slightly domed inset porcelain panel featuring hand-painted forget-me-not flowers in tones of pink and blue, accompanied by green foliage under an opalescent glaze and over a guilloche pattern. The body is formed from solid silver paired with a mahogany base visible inside the clean interior, and all sections display clear hallmarks alongside an unidentified maker mark reading TT. Today, this box provides a practical storage space for small everyday accessories such as rings, cufflinks, or earrings. The silver and cream colour palette blends easily into traditional dressing table displays or English Country House settings. The piece remains in immaculate condition with bright metal surfaces and crisp enamel detailing on the lid panel, ready for regular placement within a home interior.

A silver table box is a small decorative vessel historically used on dressing tables, vanities, or desks to hold trinkets, pins, or pills.

These boxes typically feature sterling silver or silver-plated bodies paired with tops made of guilloche enamel, porcelain, or mother-of-pearl.

Authentic pieces feature official hallmark stampings indicating metal purity, alongside detailed hand-painted porcelain or engine-turned enamelling.

Place the box on a vanity tray, a stack of books on a coffee table, or a bedside table to add visual texture to the room.

Clean the metal using a soft cloth and mild silver polish, avoiding any damp contact with the decorated porcelain lid.
