Description

A substantial late 17th-century oak vestment cupboard, dating to circa 1680, during the reign of Charles II.

Featuring two four-panelled doors above a five-panelled base, with a moulded cornice and panelled sides. The doors retain iron hinges and a lock and open to reveal a generously proportioned interior.

The oak displays a rich, warm colour and attractive patina, with signs of age and use consistent with its considerable history.

A characterful and practical piece of early English furniture, offering generous storage and suitable for use as a linen cupboard or household storage cabinet.
