A beautiful and elegant antique Arts & Crafts glazed bookcase / display cabinet, dating from the early 20th century, circa 1900–1920.

This impressive tall cabinet features a pair of full-length doors with attractive arched glazed upper sections, complemented by decorative panelled sections below. The glass is divided by slender vertical glazing bars, giving the cabinet a particularly elegant period appearance.

Inside are multiple spacious shelves, providing excellent storage and display space for books, collectables, ceramics or decorative objects while maintaining a relatively slim depth of only 30 cm.

The cabinet retains its original lock and key, a particularly desirable feature in an antique piece of this age. Traditional moulded cornice detailing, small turned feet and restrained decorative carving to the lower door panels complete the design.

The dark timber finish has developed an attractive aged character and works particularly well with the simple Arts & Crafts influenced construction.

The bookcase is in very good antique condition, with age-related marks, minor surface wear and natural variations in colour consistent with its age and previous use. These form part of the authentic character of the piece.
