Victorian Cranberry Glass Oil Lamp

Description

A beautiful antique oil lamp dating from the late 19th Century. It stands on a heavy brass base with acanthus leaf detail. It has a lovely cranberry glass font with its original swirling cranberry glass shade with frilled edge. It has its original brass burner with twin wick turners.

The lamp is in good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There are some signs of age and use, some minor knocks and marks and some tarnishing on the brass but nothing detrimental. The burner is in good shape and the wick turners move smoothly. It has not been tested but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. The glass shade is in good condition with just a few small nibbles around the rim but no major damages.

Height : 26” (66cm)

Base : 6” (15cm) square

Width of Shade : 8” (20cm)
