A White Painted Swedish, Gustavian Neoclassical Stool, Silk Seat C1900, 69cm

A superbly stylish Louis XV1 style Swedish or French, white painted neoclassical window seat stool, circa 1900.

A timeworn-distressed white painted stool of considerable decorative appeal, in the neoclassical style, the Louis XV1 style which heavily influenced the Swedish design, often referred to as Gustavian.

The silk cushioned seat replaces an original caned seat.

Structurally excellent without any loose joints, awkward repairs or wobbles.
