Antique 1.03 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1930

Description

A wonderfully detailed Art Deco engagement ring. At the centre is a 1.03 carat old cushion cut natural diamond which is secured in a platinum collet with an open gallery and above a scalloped back-plate. The platinum shoulders are formed as stylised leaf motifs, milgrained and accented with six (three each side) eight-cut diamonds The platinum top of the ring contrasts with a slender 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Old mine cut in the centre, with eight-cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Colour:  The centre is I. The diamonds in the shoulder range between G and H.

Clarity:  VS2 in the centre. The diamonds in the shoulders range between VS1 and VS2.

Carat:  1.03 carat in the centre, with a further approximate 0.06 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:  1930.

Size:  O 1/2 (UK) or 7 1/4 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The centre stone is 5.58 x 5.42mm. Sits 7.3mm from the finger.

Weight:  3.51 grams.

Metal:  Stamped 18CT PLAT indicating 18k yellow gold and platinum, and tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer to confirm.
