Vintage 3.25 Carat Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1935

Description

A gorgeous Art Deco sapphire and diamond cluster ring, set with a natural and unheated sapphire from Ceylon (Sri Lanka). The sapphire is claw set in platinum and surrounded by 16 white and bright eight cut diamonds arranged in a scalloped platinum cluster above a 18k yellow gold shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no indications of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut:  Cushion cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.

Colour:  The diamond range between G and H.

Clarity:  The sapphire is eye-clean. The diamonds range from VS2 to SI1.

Carat:  The sapphire is 3.25 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.55 carat.

Circa:  1935.

Size:  N 1/2 (UK) or 6 3/4 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The sapphire is 9.5 x 6.8mm. The head of the ring is 14.3 x 11.9mm. Sits 7.1mm from the finger.

Weight:  4.75 grams.

Metal:  18k yellow gold and platinum. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
