Description

This is a very unusual gilt and enamelled green glass large size attar perfume bottle. These type of scent bottles are also known as an Oxford Lavender or Throwaway , as they were sold containing a sample of perfume and were intended to be thrown away after use. This particular one is a more unusual green enamelled example. The four faceted sides heightened with naive enamel and gilt scroll decorations. The neck fitted with an unusual flower-shaped stopper gilt glass stopper.

Very good.
