This Edwardian oak bookcase from 1920 is a four-tier stacking design in a medium brown colour, stamped by the maker Minty of Oxford with all its original fittings. It has a moulded top cornice, glass opening cupboard sections with glazed double doors on each shelf, small brass knob handles, and turned wooden feet at the base. The timber displays a rich grain finish visible through the glass panels and across the stacked framing. Measuring 135 cm high, 87 cm wide and 26 cm deep, this practical piece provides ample storage for books and display items in a home study, library, living room or office. The modular sections can be stacked together or separated according to individual space requirements, making it a versatile addition to traditional or contemporary interiors.

A glazed sectional bookcase consists of separate stackable or tiered compartments featuring glass doors designed to protect books from dust while displaying them.

These pieces are predominantly crafted from solid hardwoods such as oak, mahogany, or walnut, combined with glass panels and brass hardware fittings.

Authentic pieces feature traditional dovetail joinery, original glass panes, period-correct brass handles, and hand-finished timber patination along working edges.

Position the cabinet as a structural accent in a study, hallway, or living area, utilizing the glass shelves to arrange curated literature alongside ceramic objects.

Dust surfaces regularly with a soft dry cloth, clean glass elements using a microfiber cloth, and apply natural beeswax sparingly along the timber grain annually.
