Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Guilloche enamel vanity glassware refers to dressing table containers featuring decorative metal lids engraved with precise, repetitive engine-turned patterns, which are then covered with translucent coloured enamel and paired with cut or etched glass bases.

These items typically feature heavy cut crystal or blown glass bodies topped with sterling silver, silver gilt, or nickel lids adorned with vitreous enamel applied over engine-turned metalwork.

Authentic period pieces usually feature silver hallmarks along the rim or finial, hand-cut glass detailing with natural light refraction, and fine, uniform engine-turned engraving beneath intact vitreous enamel.

Position the jar on a bedside table, bathroom counter, or vanity tray alongside modern ceramics and books to introduce texture, metallic highlights, and vintage character.

Wipe the enamel surface with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and clean the glass base gently with lukewarm water and mild soap, avoiding immersion of the enamelled silver lid to prevent moisture damage or tarnishing.
