Antique brass rise and fall chandelier with glass shades. Originally gas powered, this chandelier has been sympathetically converted to electricity while retaining its original rise and fall mechanism. The fitting can still be raised and lowered, although regular adjustment is not recommended as the wiring is not designed for continual movement. The integral brass ceiling rose screws directly to the ceiling, allowing the chandelier to be hung at the desired height. The reeded central column is fitted with high-quality cast brass ornament depicting leaves, flowers and scrolls. The four arms support glass shades, which can easily be changed to suit the buyer''s preference if desired. The chandelier is finished with a decorative brass finial. Minimum height 95 cm, maximum height 146 cm. Width including the glass shades is 60 cm.
