Description

A Lovely Antique Victorian Silver Plated Two-piece Fish Serving Set comprising a pierced fish slice and matching serving fork. Both pieces are finished in bright silver plate with crisp decorative engraving and cutwork. The pieces are presented in a fitted case lined in deep blue velvet with a pale satin lid lining.

The fish slice has an ornate, shaped blade with openwork panels and a textured central field. The serving fork features a pierced, shield-shaped head with scrolling motifs that echo the decoration of the slice. Each handle is neatly proportioned with a stepped outline and a shell terminal, giving the set a refined, classical finish – circa 1880.
