The three strands of cultured saltwater pearls have a soft cream tone with delicate pink and green overtones. Their near-round, semi-baroque and baroque forms give the necklace great charm and individuality, with the softly irregular pearls creating the natural movement and character so often admired in fine period pearl jewellery.
The necklace sits beautifully when worn, with the graduated strands falling gracefully around the neckline. Each pearl is individually hand-knotted, a traditional sign of quality and care, and the substantial weight gives the necklace a lovely presence.
The clasp is a beautiful feature in its own right. Designed in a bold Art Deco style, it is centred with an oval cabochon jadeite, rub-over set in yellow gold. A safety chain is fitted for added security.
