William IV Large Antique Scottish Silver Water Jug, Edinburgh 1837

A stunning large William IV antique Scottish silver water jug. Made in Edinburgh in 1837 by James McKay, one of Scotland’s foremost silversmiths. This amazing jug has beautiful decorations, a green man under the spout and an ornate finial. There is no ivory in this piece and there is a full set of hallmarks on the body. There is a family crest and the original owners initials engraved on the jug. This particularly Scottish piece is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs.
