Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Art Deco stool, in figured walnut, with a newly upholstered cream leather seat, incorporating a box storage area, circa 1930, in excellent condition. The Art Deco dressing stool comprises a rectangular shape, with a newly seat pad, upholstered in Italian champagne cream leather, finished with matching piping, set within a walnut frame. The seat is hinged and opens to reveal a practical storage area. The underside of the seat is upholstered in natural hessian fabric. The lid is secured by its original chrome stay on the right-hand side. The Art Deco stool sits on two slab-shaped legs, constructed with mahogany borders and a figured walnut panel, decorated with twin chrome beading. The slab ends stand on a fine mahogany plinth. This Art Deco stool is ideal for use as either a dressing table / nightstand stool, or even a piano stool.
This Art Deco stool boasts a rich walnut colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. This Art Deco stool would look superb in a variety of rooms from the bedroom to living room in either a traditional or contemporary home. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional.

The Art Deco dressing stool comprises a rectangular shape, with a newly seat pad, upholstered in Italian champagne cream leather, finished with matching piping. The seat itself is firm, which means that you won’t sink into the upholstery, but at the same time, it is very comfortable to sit on. The upholstery is new, clean and free from any wear, dirt or damage. The walnut and mahogany frame has been cleaned and wax-polished to a professional standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The internal compartment is dry and clean. There are no breaks to the legs or frame. The Art Deco stool is solid in joint and ready to use.
