This early 20th century Edwardian table lamp consists of a clear cut crystal base with a fluted central column stem, a diamond-cut domed foot, and a faceted knop beneath metallic hardware at the top. The piece sits atop two red books resting on a white surface, positioned in front of a framed painting depicting pink and green flowers in a vase. The lamp stands 50 cm high. Suitable for use in an English Country House interior, this piece serves as a lighting fixture placed on a sideboard top or accent table. The clear glass structure creates a reflective surface that complements various decorative schemes while providing functional illumination in a living space, bedroom, or hallway.

Early 20th-century cut crystal lamps are characterised by high-lead glass polished to maximise light refraction, featuring geometric patterns such as fluting, diamond cuts, and faceted knops.

These pieces were crafted by mouth-blowing thick lead glass blanks, which master craftsmen then hand-cut using stone wheels and acid-polished to produce crisp, light-catching facets.

Authentic pieces exhibit sharp pattern edges, slight weight, high transparency, and a distinct ring when tapped gently, alongside period-appropriate brass or nickel bulb fittings.

A cut crystal lamp adds textured brilliance to contemporary rooms when paired with a clean linen drum shade and placed on polished wood or marble surfaces.

Clean gently using a soft cloth dampened with warm water and mild dish soap, avoiding harsh chemicals or submerging electrical elements.
