Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Multi-stone band rings became prominent during the Victorian era, frequently crafted in 18ct gold with carved or gypsy-set mountings. These rings often featured alternating precious stones, such as rubies and diamonds, designed to be worn daily as symbol rings or dress bands.

Victorian and Edwardian gemstone bands were predominantly cast in solid 18ct or 15ct yellow gold. The settings featured hand-cut rubies, garnets, sapphires, and diamonds, set directly into carved metal galleries or star-engraved recesses.

Authentic pieces display historical British hallmarks indicating gold purity, assay office location, and date letters. Examination under magnification reveals hand-cut gemstone facets, hand-carved setting details, and natural wear patterns along the shank.

Low-profile gemstone bands pair naturally alongside modern plain gold wedding bands or complementary antique stacking rings. Their smooth profile allows them to be worn as daily statement pieces or stacked with other fine jewellery.

Clean gently using warm water, mild detergent, and a soft-bristled brush around the stone settings. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and chemical solutions, and have the settings inspected periodically by a jeweller to ensure stones remain secure.
