A nice French pair of gilded bronze and crystal 8 light birdcage form antique chandeliers, the acanthus leaf clad scrolling arms with unusual oval dish and leaf bobeche drip pans, issuing from an open cage interior with 4 surrounding spikes and one large central prismatic spike with an elaborate scrolling leaf canopy, decorated overall with quality large crystal faceted pendants and having original chain and ceiling rose, lovely original crisp gilded patination. Fully rewired and PAT tested. All our chandeliers come with bulbs and ceiling fixings.

This pair of antique French Rococo chandeliers dates to 1920 and is made from gilt bronze and cut crystal in a gold colour. Each birdcage-form fixture has eight scrolling foliate acanthus leaf arms with candle sockets, an open cage interior with spikes and a central prismatic spike, an elaborate scrolling leaf canopy, and large faceted crystal pendants suspended throughout, accompanied by an original chain and ceiling rose, plus crisp original gilded patination. The bronze has a warm metallic sheen and the crystal drops create a refractive sparkle against the dark background. Each chandelier measures 104 cm high, 66 cm wide, and 66 cm deep, excluding the chain and rose.
