Charming little mid 18th.c. Welsh oak Cwpbwrdd Deuddarn or two piece cupboard c.1750. Just 46'' wide, quite a bit smaller than most we see. Two door cupboard top with a crisp moulded cornice and lovely turned droppers. Internal depth 16'', fitted with a 10½'' deep shelf. High-waisted base with two drawers over a two door cupboard. Internal depth 21'' and fitted with an 11'' deep shelf. Raised and fielded panels to both sets of doors, which are held closed with simple wooden turn catches. Brass knobs to the doors and drawers. Flat oak panelled sides with moulded detail to the frame. Some minor old wear, note the little candle or rush light burn mark on the upper left hand door, and a couple of replacement backboards. Excellent condition with particularly good colour and patina.
