Antique Georgian fob seal features a deeply carved rock crystal intaglio. The transparent stone reveals a detailed profile portrait in relief when impressed into wax, depicting the playwright William Shakespeare. The mount is crafted from a warm-toned metal, possibly rose gold cased or gilt metal, exhibiting a rich, smooth finish with minor surface wear consistent with its age. The seal includes an ornate, open-work gallery with symmetrical scrolling foliate motifs, securing the circular base. The top loop is designed to accommodate a watch chain or ribbon.
