The World is Made of Glass Ltd. has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The glasses are in excellent condition. They show age related wear and tear consistent with nearly 200 years of use. In particular they show wear to the gilding.
The other shows the name "Christine Easson" below a ducal crown.
The glasses were blown in Bristol green glass and measure 7.6 cm (3 inches) in diameter across the bowl rims and are 14.8 cm (5.9 inches) in height. The bowls are rounded bucket-shaped and are moulded with a band of eight vertical ribs to the bottom half. The bowls sit on collars and short true baluster stems. The stems lead to conical feet which measure 7.8 cm (3.1 inches) in diameter and which exhibit polished out pontil marks to the centre. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration. The gilding is heavily rubbed. There is a collector's sticker on the base of the foot of one glass and two on the other, the additional one being for the Paul Kettle Collection.
Lead glass, each glass weighing in at 380 g. (~ 13 oz.).
