An 19th century oak coffer on stand, formed in two parts. The upper trunk has a hinged lid opening to reveal a spacious interior, papered with newspapers dated 1848. The base section comprises a single drawer, raised on a shaped stand. The drawer is fitted with brass swan neck handles and a central escutcheon plate. A very pleasing example.
