Strickland & Russell has dated these Victorian Cut Glass Olive Dishes to the 1900s.
The set comprises:
Two matching cut glass olive dishes, beautifully faceted with star-cut bases and deeply cut rims

Two matching silver-plated olive forks, each clearly stamped “JB & S BP”
Original black fitted presentation case with satin-lined lid
The forks are silver plated (British Plate) and were manufactured by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield, a well-known and respected Victorian maker.

Please note: this is silver plate, not solid silver.

Dishes: cut glass (not pressed)
Forks: British silver plate (JB & S BP mark)
Case: original fitted case with working clasps
Condition

Glass dishes are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks noted
Forks show light surface wear consistent with age and gentle use
Case shows age-related wear, commensurate with over 100 years old, but remains solid and presentable
Date Circa 1890–1910
Use Traditionally used for olives, pickles, or hors d’oeuvres, but equally decorative for display.
Size of box 28 x 15 x 3.5 cm (each dish approx. 12 x 10 x 2 cm)
