This is a rare Novelty Victorian Desk Fountain Pen Brush modelled as a Boot brush, by Sampson & Mordan , hallmarked London 1893.
 
With moveable side handles.
 
It measures 5cm x 4.5 cm and weighs 52.6 grams.
 
Condition is very good, hallmarks are very good, bristles still strong, looks hardly used, a few small dings to the base but otherwise a great novelty Victorian piece from one of the best makers.
