This set of eight Saint-Louis lead crystal liqueur and sherry glasses originates from 1920 in the French Art Nouveau style. Each piece stands 12 cm high with a width of 5.5 cm, taking the form of a clear vessel paired with twenty-four-carat gold leaf highlights. The decoration includes wide gilded bands around the rims, hand-applied scroll and flowerhead borders polished with agate stone, faceted stems, and gilded circular feet. Such stemware serves well for formal entertaining and digestifs when displayed upon a dining table or placed on a sideboard top. The clear glass contrasts with the reflective metallic gilding, presenting eight matching vessels with slender stems and flared bowls. FAQs

The Thistle pattern was originally created by the Saint-Louis glassworks in 1913 for the Nancy International Exhibition. Inspired by the Art Nouveau movement and the emblem of Lorraine, the design features delicate floral cut motifs combined with hand-applied gold gilding.
