Vintage 9ct Gold Sapphire & Diamond Clasp Double Strand Pearl Necklace, C.1960

A superb vintage double strand pearl necklace dating from the 1960s, finished with a striking sapphire and diamond clasp in 9ct gold.

The domed floral cluster clasp is wonderfully crafted: a bright 3mm diamond sits proudly at the centre, encircled by eighteen rich midnight-blue sapphires, with a further halo of seventeen sparkling diamonds completing the design. The result is a clasp of exceptional beauty, offering the versatility to be worn at the front, side, or discreetly at the back depending on the occasion.

The cultured pearls are particularly attractive, displaying a silver-ivory tone with delicate pink overtones and a fine, high lustre. Their generous 8mm size gives the necklace an elegant drape and a graceful presence on the neckline.

This classic 1960s necklace looks fabulous when worn and remains in excellent condition, the pearls smooth and evenly coloured throughout. It is presented in the box illustrated.
