Victorian Scottish pebble jewellery refers to ornaments crafted in Scotland during the 19th century, heavily popularised by Queen Victorias fondness for Balmoral and the Scottish Highlands, often featuring local hardstones set in silver or gold.

These pieces typically utilise locally sourced Scottish stones such as various colours of agate, jasper, bloodstone, and freshwater pearls, mounted in base metals, silver, or gold.

Authentic pieces often feature characteristic hand-cut hardstones with bevelled edges, traditional Celtic knotwork or engraved motifs, and period-appropriate C-clasps or pin hinges on the reverse.

An antique brooch can be pinned to the lapel of a tailored blazer, fastened at the neckline of a collar, or used to secure a wool scarf for a textured focal point.

Jewellery containing natural agates and soft metals should be cleaned gently with a dry or slightly damp soft microfibre cloth, avoiding harsh chemical dips, ultrasonic cleaners, and prolonged exposure to water.
