Michael Alexandrovich Romanov 19th c. Silver Salts & Condiment Spoon with Provenance.

Nice and rare silver salts and condiment spoon belonging to Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich of Russia.(1878-1918).

Michael Alexandrovich was the younger brother of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and was married to the Countess Brasova, he was shot by

the Bolsheviks on June 13 1918 at Perm.

The salts and condiment spoon are engraved with the crowned cipher M.A. (Michael Alexandrovich).

The salts and condiment spoon are fully marked with i.e. 84* zolotnik (875 silver) and FEH which stand for: Fredrik Erik Holmsten.

Fredrik Erik Holmsten was Finnish born and worked in St. Petersburg in the 19th and 20th century, he was a prominent silversmith notably as a

supplier to the house of Faberge.

The set comes with a copy of a letter dated 17th July 1989 from John Stuart of Sotheby's explaining the items.

The weight of the silver salts is: 194 gram and the weight of the condiment spoon is: 31.5 gram.
