Georgian Small Bristol Blue Plain Bowl Cream Jug

This is a small Georgian, mouth-blown, plain bowl, Bristol blue coloured glass cream jug dating from the turn of the 18th/19th centuries, c1800.
 
The jug is in excellent condition for its age. This means of course that it shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some 200 years of use. It has a rough pontil mark on the underside of the base.
 
 
The jug has a baluster-shaped bowl measuring 4.8 cm (1.9 inches) in diameter at the pouring rim. The bowl is plain. The jug is 8 cm (3.2 inches) across at its widest point (pouring spout to outside of the handle) and is 8.5 cm (3.4 inches) in height. The bowl sits on a conical foot which measures 4.3 cm (1.7 inches) in diameter. The handle was first applied to the top of the bowl and then finished off at the bottom of the bowl with a curlicue.
