For sale this rare and exceptionally fine Japanese Hirado double gourd shaped Dragon and Tiger vase dating to the Meiji period. Finely painted with a scaly Dragon hiding amongst clouds being watch or stalked a large Tiger within a landscape of Bamboo and water. A rare subject matter along with the exceptional painting and shape makes this piece, a must have, for any serious collector of Hirado porcelain. The vase stands approx. 18cm tall and is approx. 14cm diameter at its widest part. Slight professional restoration the rim of the neck of the bottle.
