This decorative set of fourteen Wedgwood portrait medallions dates to 1960 and follows a neoclassical style. The group consists of oval jasperware and stoneware plaques in Wedgwood blue with white bas-relief profile decorations of historical figures, framed by beaded borders. The original presentation box is made of wood with a dark blue or black finish, lined with gold velvet inside its main compartment and sliding drawers. Metal hinges secure the box lid, and the interior velvet shows natural fabric texture and folds around each mounted medallion. The pieces collectively measure 15 cm high, 36 cm wide, and 36 cm deep. Traditional collector collections like this suit placement on a sideboard top or within a gentleman's library display. The set includes fourteen medallions in three distinct sizes, accompanied by certificates and housed in the original cased presentation box with drawers. Every plaque and the box itself remain in complete, undamaged condition without visible wear, repairs, or discoloration. The monochromatic blue and white ceramic profiles contrast sharply against the warm gold backing fabric, creating a striking focal point for historic home decor or specialized display cabinets.

Wedgwood portrait medallions are Neoclassical ceramic plaques crafted in jasperware, featuring profile busts of historical, royal, and prominent figures rendered in raised white bas-relief against a dip-coloured background.

These medallions are constructed from jasperware, an unglazed stoneware developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the late eighteenth century, featuring white matte clay reliefs applied to coloured stoneware bodies.

Authentic pieces feature impressed maker marks such as WEDGWOOD on the reverse, crisp anatomical details in the white bas-relief, and a smooth, unglazed matte surface texture.

A set can be displayed in its original velvet-lined presentation case on a sideboard top, framed individually in shadow boxes, or arranged in a wall gallery.

Dust gently with a soft dry brush; for deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water with mild detergent applied via cotton swab, avoiding harsh chemicals that may discolour the unglazed clay.
