Description

A pair of antique mahogany open bookcases. Each bookcase has a rectangular moulded top above a carved frieze with neat reeded detail and roundels to the corners. The sides are plain, while the front uprights are finished with fluted decoration. Inside, each bookcase has three fixed shelves, providing useful storage and display space. Both stand on solid plinth bases, giving them a sturdy and well-balanced appearance.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition overall, with signs of age and use. There is surface wear, including age-related marks and scratches throughout. The shelves show some staining, while the tops display areas of fading and scratches. These features are consistent with age and add to the character of the bookcases.
