A good quality early 20th century mahogany breakfront open bookcase of elegant and practical design, retaining a rich warm colour and attractive figuring throughout. The moulded top sits above a finely reeded frieze, with the breakfront form giving the piece pleasing depth and architectural presence.

The interior is arranged with a central section fitted with fixed shelves, flanked by narrower side compartments with adjustable shelves, allowing for versatile storage and display. The bookcase stands on shaped bracket feet.
