Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Founded in Silesia by Count Franz Leopold von Schaffgotsch, the Josephinenhutte glassworks became renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, innovative techniques, and delicate hand-blown crystal produced during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

These pieces are typically crafted from high-quality mouth-blown crystal glass, frequently featuring hand-gilded gold rims, cut stems, and intricate optical or panel-moulded bowls characteristic of fine Central European manufacturing.

Authentic pieces often exhibit minor hand-crafted imperfections such as tiny air bubbles in the glass, pontil marks on the base, hand-applied gilding with slight wear variations, and characteristic weight and clarity found in turn-of-the-century crystal.

Such pieces add a touch of refined historical elegance when displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, used for celebratory toasts, or incorporated as sophisticated tablescape accents alongside contemporary minimalist tableware.

Antique crystal requires gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Dishwashers and harsh abrasives must be strictly avoided to protect the delicate hand-applied gilding and fragile stems from damage.
