A tazza is a low-footed pedestal plate used historically for serving sweetmeats, fruit, and desserts during formal Georgian dining courses.

18th-century pieces often utilised lead metal or soda-lime glass, shaped via free-blowing or mold-blowing techniques, frequently featuring hand-cut or molded stems.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit pontil marks on the underside, minor surface abrasions, occasional air bubbles within the metal, and characteristic wear consistent with age.

Use the tazza as a functional centrepiece on a dining table or sideboard, styled with seasonal fruits, candles, or displayed empty to highlight its reflective qualities.

Wash by hand using lukewarm water and mild detergent, avoiding harsh abrasives and sudden temperature changes to protect the fragile antique material.
