An exquisite Edwardian silver jewel or ring box with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1907 and makers mark for Walker & Hall. The lid is inset with a handpainted and beautifully executed enamelled porcelain plaque portrait of a young lady. The young lady has long auburn hair, a delicate pale complexion, and is wearing a dress and hat in luminous emerald green. The box stand on cabriole legs and the lid rim is embellished with a scalloped reeded rim. The interior is gilt sprayed.
