A pair of Victorian champagne coupes dates from around 1860. Made from ruby glass and clear lead crystal with a ruby overlay casing, the matching vessels display a striking combination of ruby red and clear colourways. Each piece features an engraved bowl and foot decorated with fruiting vine motifs, supported on a slender, clear knopped stem above a circular ruby foot. The pair stands 12.5 cm high and 9 cm wide. Suitable for display upon a sideboard top in a dining room or living space, the champagne coupes provide a practical setting for celebrations or function as decorative tabletop items in a traditional interior.
