An exceptionally rare English lead 18th Century Turquoise Roemer wine glass dating to c1780.
It has a round funnel bowl engraved with fruiting vine with a thick plain applied collar at the base. The stem is closed and hollow with applied prunts. Sits on a conical foot with hand applied trailing.
A rare glass at the best of times, normally, if found, in a shade of green. This turquoise blue example is unique, in our experience.
